However, if you are impatient for example, they may lose their confidence as you're frustration upsets them.

Similarly if you have lost your confidence (however temporary) they may be demonstrating fear and refusing jumps or completely the opposite and be bossing you around!!! sound familiar ... well it has to me at times I can assure you!
