Indian Head Massage

wonderfully relaxing
All animals originally relied on their intuition for survival and are therefore incredibly intune with their surroundings - and that includes us. A horse for example, will mirror our emotions and tension in the rider's posture will relay directly into the horse's movements.

Everyday living affects our bodies and builds up so slowly that we don't notice how tight our muscles have become as a result of repetitive strain injury, holding ourselves in unnatural positions at a desk or driving for example and excessive muscle activity.

Sports, occupations and hobbies take their toll. For example, as a horse owner, I appreciate the muscle groups that need special attenion and tailor the treatment accordingly to work on the muscles of the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face.

Whatever the cause of your tense, sore muscles, the result is the same i.e. relaxation of the mind and body. Contentment as happy hormones as well as knots in the muscles are released.

Indian head massage originated in Indian and is still practiced today with children as young as 6 years old being taught the technique so that the whole family help each other and builds the family bond.

Mutual grooming in horses and other animals is a way of giving and recieving information about their state of health. When they groom each other they are releasing tension for each other and giving and receiving TLC.

We're not so different are we? .... and that's why I treat both animals and people as we all need the same TLC and remedial work - to me there is no differential.
