Reiki for Horse and Rider ![]() Sending Reiki to Animals This is something which I was drawn to focus on. Whilst massaging I often found that the Reiki had switched itself on and was channelling to the horse I was treating and they were visibly responding. Some horses are happy for a short burst of "hands on", others move ever closer and go off into a trance-like state. Some wander away and then return for more. As I work along their body, I focus on areas which accept Reiki more readily ... "Chakras". I often start at the brachial chakra which is also a polite place to start and one where you can gain trust and assess their readiness to accept healing without forcing yourself upon them. The sacral chakra tends to bring about a significant amount of heat and this area works particuarly on the hips - which along with the gluteal and hamstring muscles, produce the forward propulsion of movement, hence Reiki is very welcome here. The base chakra is effective for those horses feeling insecure about their surroundings, feed, welfare, etc. so if a horse has just been moved or bought / sold, focus on this area will be very beneficial. |
